Jubilee Stair Rods For Carpet Runners
These elegant antique brass runner rods by Stairrods UK feature classic ball finials and are designed to safeguard your stair runner from wear and tear while adding a sophisticated touch to your home.
Made from hollowed anodised aluminium, they’re strong yet lightweight and can be easily cut to size with a standard hacksaw. The brackets will hide any cuts, ensuring you achieve a flawless finish, whether you’re a professional carpet fitter or DIYer.
The brackets come with pre-attached finials to save fitting time, making them suitable for new installations or retrofitting an existing stair runner. They also have a generous bracket clearance of 14mm, meaning they can effortlessly accommodate underlay and carpet.
Available finishes
The Jubilee stair rod comes in seven beautiful finishes to complement any home or decor:
- Antique Brass
- Black
- Brass
- Bronze
- Chrome
- Pewter
- Satin Nickel
Available sizes
Available in four sizes to suit a variety of runner widths. Simply pick the length that is slightly wider than your carpet runner and cut the rod to size using a hacksaw:
For runner widths up to 70cm
For runner widths up to 89cm
For runner widths up to 120cm
For runner widths up to 150cm
Installation
Each stair rod comes with everything you need for a professional finish:
- Stair rod in your chosen length
- Brackets with pre-attached finials
- Fixing screws (No.6 size)
Installing the Jubilee stair rod is extremely simple:
- Always drill a pilot hole before fixing the brackets to your stairs. For softwood, create a 2.5mm pilot hole, and for hardwood, create a 3mm hole. The screws supplied are No.6 size (3.5mm).
- Position one bracket and secure it to the tread (flat part of step) and riser (vertical part of step). If using a power drill, use a low torque setting to avoid breaking the screws.
- If required, cut the rod to size using a standard hacksaw and place it securely in the first bracket.
- Once in place, fit the second bracket to the other end of the rod.
Cleaning & maintenance
The Jubilee stair rod is easy to maintain and should be cleaned using a damp cloth only. Traditional household cleaners should be kept away from the rod to avoid tarnishing or speckling the lacquered finish.
Dispatch & delivery
Our stair rods are a special order item sent directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, they have a 3-4 working day dispatch time. Orders are delivered using a next-working-day service.
If you order stair rods with underlay or other in-stock products, we will dispatch the stocked items immediately, and the stair rods will arrive separately.
