High density (HD) and ultra high density (UHD) carpet underlay is designed for high-traffic areas where your flooring needs extra support. Think hallways, stairs and commercial environments like offices and hotel lobbies.
Each of the underlays below has a density rating above 145 kg/m³, providing excellent support under heavy loads. Many are also contract-rated (suitable for commercial use) and ideal for double-stick installations with natural carpets such as sisal, jute, and coir, which have little elasticity and therefore require firm support underfoot and a secure double-stick fitting method.
